As the east is one of the four cardinal directions, or 90 degrees, Tehran falls well within the Gate’s eastward “prospect” as shown in the juxtaposition below. Notice how the pyramid diagram is laid flat and then rotated 90 degrees clockwise to achieve this alignment.
Therefore, Baha’u’llah comes from the east through this door that faces east.
